The Joy of Restoring Historic Floors

I've had the fortune of refinishing some unique floors with some history behind (or maybe above them), From an old boat captain who wanted anchors in the floors of his riverside house, a "hotel" that housed sponge fishermen on shore leave, and the servant house of the inventor of the jigsaw, these floors all had stories to tell. It's always fun to bring these historic floors to what they once were.

These floors also remind me that the craftsmen of those days did phenomenal

work with only a few tools at their disposal. Truly amazing!
